Survive Your Ideas: how a round works
The idea is simple and a bit silly. Every round, the game picks one random player, that player writes a word, and the word comes to life in the world. Tsunami, dinosaur, nuke, tacos: anything goes. The words pile up, the chaos grows, and the last player alive wins. Up to 40 people can share a server.
Reading the screen
In the lobby a timer counts down to the next match. Once a match starts, the top of the screen shows a running clock, a small person icon with the number of players left, and a line that counts down to the next writer. When the roulette lands on you, a yellow button appears. Press WRITE and type any word.
What a word does
In the footage we watched, typing LAVA turned the floor into lava and the game told everyone to climb anything. PYRAMIDSOFGEZA raised a pyramid out of the sand and the prompt was to race to the top. So the best words are the ones that change where players are standing.
The lobby also has buttons for Items, an Index and Meta Words, which are slash commands you can buy. The game description asks you to like and favourite it to see new words first. For a screen-by-screen walkthrough see survive your ideas on the main guide site. Back to all notes.
